For the first time in six-months the US State Department has updated their travel advisory to Mexico. The most recent update includes the green light for Puerto Vallarta, Vallarta-Nayarit, and Guadalajara.

“There is no recommendation against travel to Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta. There is also no recommendation against travel on principal highways in Jalisco between Guadalajara including the portions that cross into the southern portions of the state of Nayarit” reads the advisory, and continues to include Vallarta-Nayarit as safe travel destinations.

“There is no recommendation against travel to the Vallarta-Nayarit area in the southern portion . . .
