I checked out the first Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club two weeks after it opened. last year in Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) (full review here). I have been back to it a few times, but have not had the opportunity to check out any of the others until this week. The two New York locations opened only weeks ago with LaGuardia Airport (LGA) debuting on January 16th and John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) opening its doors on January 23rd.
The location at New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) is a joint offering with Etihad Airways (the airline previously operated the lounge). The 7,600-square-foot lounge doesn’t offer much in the way of amenities aside from food and beverage, but it’s a great space to relax and work before a flight (a stark contrast to the overcrowded American Express Centurion Lounge directly next door.
The lounge is located on the 4th floor just outside of security.
Access
Access is granted to those with a Priority Pass membership gained through carrying the Chase Sapphire Reserve® (cardholders can also bring two guests). If you hold the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, you can enter an unlimited number of times, but if you have a Priority Pass membership from holding any other card, you’re limited to one visit per year (subsequent visits will be charged). The lounge is located in Terminal 4, which houses Air India, Delta Air Lines, EL AL, Emirates, Etihad, Virgin Atlantic, and more.
There is a desk immediately upon entering the lounge. You give your name and phone number and they text you when it’s your turn.
Anthony’s Take: The Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club is nicely decorated, offers plenty of seating and a mix of a la carte and buffet dining along with a full bar. The decor is warm, yet sophisticated (on a par with the Centurion Lounges). I tested multiple dishes and generally enjoyed them all. The service is excellent and it’s a great spot to relax and work.

Bar
A bar is located on the left side the lounge. It offers all of the standard spirits, wine, and beer as well as a nice co*cktail menu.
co*cktails and wine can also be ordered to your table with the QR codes found there.
There is one station offering an espresso machine with coffee from Joe Coffee, cold brew, tea, and water. The coffee machine was out of order during my visit.
Two dispensers offer cold brew.
A case under the counter was filled with soft drinks.
Cookies, Lemon Bars, and Brownies were on the counter. These were empty when I arrived, but refilled.
Food
Lunch/dinner was being served during my visit. The buffet has several small plates and desserts. Other dishes can be ordered a la carte from the QR codes found on tables. I tried several and they were all pretty good.

I was seated at Table 63 and ordered via QR code.
The QR code brings up a menu where you can order food and co*cktails to your table.
The menu offers multiple dishes and I tried a few.
Lamb Meatballs with Romesco. These were tasty and I could have eaten a few more.
Sapphire Noodles. I found these a little bland.
Sapphire Burger & Fries. The burger was a little dry, but the fries were excellent.
Seating & Decor
I really like the design of this lounge. It’s sophisticated yet cozy. Chase and The Club get points for the way it is laid out and the finishings that were chosen.
There is lots of seating and I love all of the plants.
I like that Chase monitors the number of people in the lounge and does not allow it to be overcrowded.
A fireplace in the corner made the space extra cozy.
I liked the giant picture near the entrance.
The space is divided into two rooms with lots of tables, couches, and more.
Amenities
The Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club offers free Wi-Fi, restrooms, and the food and beverages listed above. It’s the smallest location offered in the network.
Anthony’s Take: I was excited to check out this lounge and it did not disappoint. The service, decor, and drinks are top notch. All of the employees we encountered seemed excited and proud to work there.
